Colombia is a country made for cycling.
Mountain roads, tropical valleys, colorful towns, coffee farms, and a culture where cycling is deeply woven into everyday life create an experience that goes far beyond simply logging miles.
In February 2027, Magic Journey invites riders to experience Colombia from a different perspective with the:
- Colombia Cycling Journey 2027
- Sugar & Coffee Regions Tour
- February 12–21, 2027
A journey that combines cycling, landscapes, culture, food, wellness, and meaningful local experiences across two of Colombia’s most distinctive regions.
Two Regions. One Unforgettable Journey.
The journey begins in Cali, Valle del Cauca, a region known for its warm climate, expansive sugarcane plantations, mountain roads, vibrant culture, and strong cycling tradition.
From there, the experience transitions toward Colombia’s legendary Coffee Region, where the landscape changes dramatically. Lush green mountains, coffee farms, winding roads, colorful towns, and traditional Colombian architecture create an entirely different riding environment.
Along the way, riders and accompanying travelers can experience some of the region’s most memorable attractions, including natural hot springs surrounded by lush Andean scenery a perfect opportunity to relax, recover, and enjoy another side of Colombia.
The journey ultimately reaches the extraordinary scenery of Cocora Valley, home to Colombia’s iconic wax palms and some of the most recognizable mountain views in the country.
The goal is not simply to cycle through Colombia.
It is to experience Colombia while cycling through it.
More Than a Cycling Tour
Great riding is at the heart of the journey, but it is only one part of the experience.
Magic Journey combines carefully planned cycling routes with local cycling expertise, support vehicles, mechanical assistance, transportation, recovery and wellness, and thoughtfully selected cultural and travel experiences.
The logistical details are designed so riders can focus on what they came to do: ride, discover, and enjoy Colombia.
And when the cycling ends for the day, the journey continues.
Local cuisine, Colombian coffee, colorful towns, conversations with local people, wellness experiences, and opportunities to experience the culture become just as important as the roads themselves.
Because some of the best memories of a cycling trip happen off the bike.
Designed for Riders and the People Traveling With Them
Cyclists do not always travel alone.
That is why the Sugar & Coffee Regions Tour is designed to welcome not only riders, but also non-riding partners, friends, and families.
While cyclists are experiencing the routes, accompanying travelers can enjoy their own activities and discover Colombia through culture, gastronomy, nature, local towns, wellness experiences, and other carefully selected activities.
Later, everyone reconnects to enjoy the destination together.
It creates an opportunity for cyclists to pursue an unforgettable riding experience without having to choose between their passion for cycling and traveling with the people they love.
Experience Colombia Beyond the Bike
Colombia has an extraordinary cycling story, but this journey is also about discovering the country behind the sport.
- It is about riding through landscapes shaped by agriculture and mountains.
- Planned stops in select towns and sites rather than simply passing through them.
- Experiencing the flavors of the regions.
- Understanding Colombia’s coffee culture.
- Relaxing in natural hot springs.
- Meeting local people.
And seeing how dramatically the country can change as you travel from one region to another.
This is cycling as a way to discover a destination not simply as a way to cover distance.
Traveling With Purpose: Supporting Colombia’s Recovery
Following the recent earthquake, Cali and Valle del Cauca are moving forward through the reconstruction process while continuing to welcome visitors. Tourism infrastructure across the region remains active, and during the Sugar & Coffee Regions Tour, Magic Journey guests will stay outside the city in a peaceful setting surrounded by the landscapes of Valle del Cauca a comfortable environment where travelers can relax and enjoy the beauty of the region.
In Quindío and Colombia’s Coffee Region, tourism has also been reactivating rapidly. While some areas experienced damage, much of the region’s tourism infrastructure is operating again, and destinations including Salento and Cocora Valley are welcoming travelers. Local hotels, attractions, restaurants, and tourism businesses continue working to move the region forward.
For many families in these regions, tourism is much more than an industry it is their livelihood. Hotels, restaurants, guides, drivers, coffee producers, artisans, and locally owned businesses all depend on travelers continuing to discover Colombia.
That is why one of the most meaningful ways international travelers can support the country’s recovery is to keep Colombia in their travel plans. Visiting responsibly, spending locally, and experiencing these communities firsthand helps sustain the people and businesses behind the destinations while giving travelers the opportunity to discover the beauty, culture, warmth, and hospitality that continue to make Colombia extraordinary.
